On Thursday, March 30 2023, relegation-threatened Legon Cities will face defending champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the El-Wak Stadium in a crucial Premier League match.

Currently second-bottom on the league table and with only one win in their last five games, Cities will be hoping to secure a victory against the wounded Porcupines, having defeated league leaders Aduana in their last win. A win for Maxwell Konadu’s side would greatly improve their chances of avoiding relegation.

Kotoko, on the other hand, are looking to return to winning ways following their recent 2-0 defeat to Medeama at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Porcupines currently sit in seventh place on the league standings, four points behind the top four and seven points behind league leaders Aduana.

They will be deploying every weapon in their armory to secure a vital win in Accra as they aim to climb into the top four and retain their title.

Cities held Kotoko to a 1-1 draw in Kumasi during the first round of the season, and both sides are well aware of the high stakes involved in this fixture. This promises to be a fascinating match that no football fan should miss.
