Vision FC head into Saturday’s Ghana Premier League encounter against Hearts of Oak under pressure to return to winning ways after failing to record a victory in their last five league matches.
The Tema-based club have managed just three draws and suffered two defeats in their previous five outings, a run that has left them searching for consistency ahead of their crucial meeting with the Phobians.
Vision FC’s recent results have exposed their struggles to turn performances into victories, with the team dropping points in three consecutive draws before suffering another defeat in their most recent league fixtures.
Their last five matches began with a 3-1 defeat against FC AshantiGold, a result that denied them a positive start to the period under review.
They subsequently shared the spoils with Medeama SC in a 1-1 draw before recording another 1-1 stalemate against Berekum Chelsea. Vision FC then played out a goalless draw against Gold Stars, extending their winless run despite managing to keep a clean sheet.
Their difficulties continued against Bechem United, where they suffered a 4-2 defeat, leaving them without a win in five consecutive league matches.
The sequence of results means Vision FC have collected just three points from a possible 15, scoring five goals and conceding nine across the five matches.
With Hearts of Oak awaiting them on Saturday, Vision FC will be eager to end the disappointing run and restore confidence within the squad. However, the challenge will be significant, as the Phobians will also be determined to secure a favourable result.
Vision FC assistant coach Wilson Asare Burton has already made the club’s intentions clear, insisting that victory is essential for the team and its supporters.
“We have to beat Hearts of Oak on Saturday. We must win for the Vision FC fans, it’s a must-win game,” Burton declared.
His comments underline the urgency surrounding the fixture, with Vision FC needing to translate their determination into a convincing performance on the pitch.
For the assistant coach and his players, Saturday’s encounter presents an opportunity to end their five-game winless streak, address their recent defensive shortcomings and give their supporters a result to celebrate.
