Ghanaian defender Solomon Adomako has finalized a permanent move to Israeli lower-tier club Hapoel Ironi Rishon Lezion.
The 21-year-old center-back is making the switch from Ghana Premier League club Great Olympics for an undisclosed fee. Adomako’s time at Olympics, which began in September 2021 after joining from Young Apostles, has been notable.
He has made 54 appearances and scored two goals across the last two seasons, becoming an integral part of the team.
During the 2022-23 campaign, Adomako featured in 27 matches and scored once, playing a crucial role in helping the Wonder Club avoid relegation at the end of the season.
His impressive performances did not go unnoticed, as he was included in Ghana’s squad for the 2022 CHAN tournament held in Algeria earlier this year. Adomako showcased his skills in all the matches against Madagascar, Sudan, and Niger.
Great Olympics has officially confirmed Adomako’s departure, recognizing his potential and talent as he embarks on a new chapter in the Middle Eastern country.
The young defender is expected to make a significant impact on Hapoel Ironi Rishon Lezion as they set their sights on promotion to the Israeli Premier League in the upcoming season.
