In a major transfer move, Asante Kotoko has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with Emmanuel Antwi, the talented midfielder from Great Olympics, according to former club spox, Obed Acheampong on Porcupine Stand.
Antwi, who has been a standout in the Olympics midfield, is set to join Kotoko once his current contract expires in a month.
Despite interest from several other Premier League clubs such as Hearts of Oak, Samartex, Legon Cities, and Nations FC, Kotoko managed to secure the services of Antwi, who is a product of the Liberty Professionals academy.
Antwi had a solid 2023/24 campaign with Great Olympics, making 26 appearances, scoring six goals, and providing five assists. Despite his individual success, Olympics suffered relegation to the Division One League.
The midfielder’s move to Kotoko is seen as a step up in his career, and fans are eager to see him in action for the Porcupines in the upcoming season.
With his impressive performances and multiple MVP awards, Antwi is expected to make a significant impact at his new club.
