Asante Kotoko have made a significant progress in their pursuit of Great Olympics forward Albert Amoah in the ongoing transfer window.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently in the market searching for quality players to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Kotoko endured a torrid season last term and are poised to make an impact in the upcoming campaign. The Ghanaian giants turned their attention to Albert Amoah after Prince Kwabena Owusu’s proposed move hit a snag.
According to reports, negotiations between Kotoko and Great Olympics are in the final stages. However, the forward could complete a move to the Ghanaian giants. Having agreed personal terms, the forward will undergo his mandatory medical in the coming days before putting pen to paper.
The highly-rated attacker will sign a three-year deal that will keep him with Kotoko until 2027. Amoah was one of the brightest spots in the Great Olympics squad in the recently concluded season despite relegation to the lower-division. He managed five goals from 16 games during the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Asante Kotoko’s pursuit of Amoah is seen as a major coup for the club, as they look to rebuild their squad and challenge for major honors in the upcoming season. With Amoah’s signing, Kotoko will be bolstering their attacking options and adding depth to their squad.
The deal is expected to be finalized soon, with Amoah set to become one of the key players for Asante Kotoko in the 2024/25 season.
