AFC Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo lauds his team’s resilience after securing a 2-2 draw against Newcastle United Football Club, characterizing it as a “great point” despite missing out on a win due to a late equalizer.
Semenyo found the net in the 69th minute, putting Bournemouth ahead 2-1 after teammate Dominic Solanke’s earlier goal. This marked his first goal since returning from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with the Ghanaian national team.
Addressing fans post-match, the 24-year-old emphasized the team’s performance, stating, “It’s Antoine here, great point. The Boys did well, unfortunate with the result but we take the point.”
With four goals and two assists in 20 English Premier League appearances this season, Semenyo aims to maintain his impressive form as Bournemouth prepares to host defending champions Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
