Ghana’s Majeed Ashimeru on Anderlecht is on cloud nine after netting his second league goal of the season for RSC Anderlecht in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League on Sunday.

The Ghanaian was among the four goal scorers for the Mauves as they beat KV Kortrijk 4-1 in their round nine fixture in the 2022-23 season.

“Great team effort yesterday, happy to be on the score sheet. To our fans, thanks for urging us on!! We Fight On”, he Tweeted.

He scored the second goal for the Mauves in the second half of the match to put the hosts 2-0 up early after the break.

He headed home from the six yard from the left side to the center of the box following cross Michael Murillo to add to the first half goal after 59 minutes.

Anderlecht scored two late goals after Kortrijk reduced the deficit to one later in the game to make the final score 4-1.

The former West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC graduate has two goals and one assist in five matches this season.
