Ghana’s Black Meteors midfielder Emmanuel Essiam is on cloud nine after playing ninety minutes of football for the first time in the Switzerland Super League.

He lasted the entire duration of the match as his side put up a spirited performance against their rivals over the weekend.

“Great Team Performance”, the former Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea FC player who won the CAF Youth Championship with Ghana two years ago Tweeted.

The Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Essiam dazzled for FC Basel in the Switzerland Super League over the weekend against giant Young Boys FC.

The young box-to-box midfielder played full throttle for his team as they drew 1-1 at home against the Yellow Black outfit in their encounter.

Essiam was rated 7.8 by Fotmob and 7.9 by WhoScored.com following a master class display for the Red and Blue side in their entertaining draw.

Jean Pierre Nsame scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the game with a fine strike after eight minutes.

Zeki Amdouni grabbed the equalizer for the home team in the second half after 68 minutes of the match to restore parity for the home team.

Both teams pushed for the winner but none could find the breakthrough as it ended 1-1 at full time.

The 19-year-old Ghanaian versatile midfielder played 90 minutes of football for the first time since joining Basel from Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea FC.
