Mikkel Hemmersam, the sports manager of FC Nordjaelland academy, has shared the reasons why Osman Ibrahim, a young Ghanaian talent, was promoted to the first team.
Osman initially joined Nordsjaelland U-19 from the Right to Dream Academy, but his outstanding potential caught the attention of manager Johannes Thorup, who invited him to the senior team.
Osman made his debut for Nordjaelland in February, replacing fellow Ghanaian Ernest Nuamah towards the end of the game against OB. Since then, he has become a regular part of the squad.
According to Hemmersam, Osman’s promotion was based on his impressive physical skills and finishing ability, as well as his willingness to learn and improve.
Hemmersam also credited the Right to Dream Academy for their role in Osman’s development, highlighting their excellent work in producing top players such as Mohammed Kudus, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and David Accam.
He expressed confidence that Osman would make significant contributions to the Superliga team in a short period of time.
“Osman has shown quite quickly that the Superliga team was the right shelf for him. He has some absolutely extraordinary top skills in the physical part of the game, and then he is a good finisher”
“But most importantly, we have seen a person who is very willing to learn, which is why we chose to promote him directly to the Superliga team”
“In this connection, the academy in Ghana has done a great and great job. We have faith that he can contribute to the Superliga team within a very short period of time” he said.
