The Hasaacas Ladies, champions of the Ghana Women’s Premier League, have been drawn into Group B for the 2024 CAF WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
The draw, held at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, placed them in a competitive group with teams from Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Niger. The Hasaacas Ladies will face Nigeria’s Edo Queens, Burkina Faso’s Omnisports Etincelle, and Niger’s AS Garde National as they aim to secure a spot in the 2024/25 CAF Women’s Champions League.
Having won the Ghanaian league five times, the Hasaacas Ladies are determined to make a comeback to the continental stage after finishing as runners-up in the inaugural edition of the competition in 2021.
The WAFU B qualifiers will commence on August 10 in Abidjan and will conclude with the final match on August 23, 2024. The tournament is expected to be highly competitive as teams strive to represent their region and compete in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Hasaacas Ladies are keen to leverage their domestic success and experience to navigate through a challenging group and establish themselves among Africa’s top women’s football clubs.
