Mohammed Kudus claims that despite scoring three goals against Ludogorets in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League playoff round, the match was not among his greatest for Ajax.
The Ghana international spurred the Dutch to a 4-1 win away from home, putting them on track to qualify for the group stages.
The 23-year-old scored three goals on Thursday night, his first career hattrick, and it appeared to be one of the best performances Kudus has played for the club.
But he says that is not close to one of his best performances despite the goals.
“No [I had nothing to prove]. I just did my stuff like always for the team to win. Glad everyone was top and we got the win,” he said.
“This was my first hat trick but I don’t think it’s one of my best matches. I think we goals, yeah, but performance, I have had better than this.”
