New Asante Kotoko signing Kwame Opoku has praised teammate Albert Amoah for his impressive goal-scoring contributions this season in the Ghana Premier League.
Amoah, who has netted seven goals so far, continued his fine form by scoring the winning goal in the Super Clash against rivals Hearts of Oak at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Opoku, who recently rejoined the Kumasi-based club, was introduced to the fans during the match against Hearts of Oak and expressed his admiration for Amoah’s impact on the pitch.
“So far, Albert Amoah has impressed me because he’s the one who has been scoring goals to get the team the results. They are all doing well, but Albert is my choice because he’s the one who gets the team the results with his goals,” Opoku said.
The striker also highlighted Amoah’s potential, adding, “Albert has all the qualities to be at the top level. If you look at his runs, his composure in front of goal, and his goal-scoring ability, you can tell he’s a talent to watch, and I’m not surprised he’s the one leading the team right now. He has a lot to offer this club.”
Asante Kotoko currently sit in sixth place on the GPL table with 21 points.
