Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford, is facing charges following his team’s Ghana Premier League match against Aduana FC. The coach has been accused of breaching Section 34(6) (d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019.
“Bashir Hayford has been charged with a breach of Section 34(6) (d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019 following Heart of Lions’ Ghana Premier League game against Aduana FC,” the statement read.
The charges relate to comments made by Hayford about the match officials after the game. “It is alleged that his post-match commentary on the match officials of the said game constitutes misconduct that brings the name of the game into disrepute,” according to the GFA.
Coach Hayford has been given until Thursday, September 12, 2024, to respond to the charges.
