Heart of Lions coach Bashir Hayford remains cautious as his team prepares to face Hearts of Oak in Kpando this weekend. Both teams are eager to secure a win after challenging starts to the season.
Heart of Lions drew 1-1 against Aduana FC, while Hearts of Oak were defeated 1-0 by newly promoted Basake Holy Stars.
Speaking to Peace FM about the upcoming match, Hayford emphasized the importance of focusing on their own game. “Going into the Accra Hearts of Oak game, it is our own field. With that in mind, we are going to play our game. So I don’t want to predict. Hearts of Oak is not a small team,” he stated.
Heart of Lions, who remain unbeaten in their last two home matches, are hoping to capitalize on Hearts of Oak’s inconsistent form.
The Phobians have lost three of their last six games, which could give the Lions an edge as they seek to build momentum.
