The National Sports Authority (NSA) has requested that three Ghana Premier League clubs use an alternate venue because the Accra Sports Stadium will be closed for Christmas festivities.
The site will be unavailable for matches in December, according to a letter issued by the NSA’s Director General, Professor Peter Twumasi, with clubs encouraged to explore elsewhere for their home games.
The decision to close the stadium next month is expected to have an impact on Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, and Accra Lions.
According to the statement issued by the NSA, the three clubs, the Ghana Football Association, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports have all been alerted of the stadium’s impending closure.
