Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, conceded that his team faced difficulties in their 1-1 draw against Bofoakwa Tano in the Ghana Premier League match week 20 clash on Monday.
The draw, held at the WAFA Park in Sogakope, marked the end of their two-game winning streak under the new Ivorian head coach.
Reflecting on the match, Ouattara admitted to facing challenges but emphasized that such setbacks are part of football and attributed them to the human element within the team.
“One or two things did not go well but it’s part of the game. There were some faults with the way we started but we tried to do the things well. It’s the human being, you can do some mistakes,” he remarked.
Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng scored the equalizer for Hearts of Oak, cancelling out Salifu Ibrahim’s opener, resulting in a 1-1 stalemate to conclude the week 20 fixtures.
The draw maintained Hearts of Oak’s position in 8th place in the league standings, while Bofoakwa Tano remained second from bottom in their relegation battle.
