Hearts of Oak coach, Martin Koopman, has indicated that he is in the market for a new striker.
The Phobians secured their first victory of the season with a narrow 1-0 win over Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday. Despite the win, Koopman expressed his desire for his team to play attacking football similar to his native Netherlands and lamented the missed opportunities in the match against Nsoatreman.
“We lost a lot of chances. Issah [Kuka] is gone, and actually, I want a striker back. I need a striker back, so hopefully this week, let’s hope. I am happy but still a lot of work to do,” he stated.
Hearts of Oak had begun their campaign with a 1-0 defeat against Real Tamale United (RTU).
Martin Koopman and his team will aim to continue their winning momentum as they travel to face Premier League returnees Bofoakwa Tano at the Sunyani Coronation Stadium in their upcoming match on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
