Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC newly signed defender David Oppong Afrane picked up an injury during their pre-season friendly match against Dreams FC on Wednesday.
The injury is a setback for the highly rated center back, who previously played for King Faisal FC in Kumasi during their time in the top-flight and looks ready to shine in the Rainbow colours.
Due to the injury, Afrane will miss Hearts of Oak’s opening fixture of the season against Basake Holy Stars.
His absence will be felt by the team, but Hearts of Oak will hope for a quick recovery as they continue their preparations for the 2024-25 season which starts this weekend.
