Accra Heart was of Oak has denied through a press statement released yesterday that they are talking to Bashiru Hayford to replace the under-fire Dutch coach Martin Koopman.
“The management of Accra Hearts of Oak denies media reports that the club has recently held talks with Coach Bashiru Hayford to take up the coaching job at the club”, revealed the letter.
“We call on all Phobians to not fall to this propaganda but to continue to throw support behind the team as we go through the 2023-2024 season”, the statement continued.
“Martin Koopman remains our head coach and has the full backing of the club”, said the press statement.
Hearts of Oak has had a bad start to the season with just two wins and six goals scored in nine games. They are currently just 3 places above the relegation zone.
The Phobians host Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday at 3 pm.
Any result apart from the win will rekindle the rumours that the club is talking to Bashir Hayford to replace Martin Koopman.
