Hearts of Oak have expressed a strong interest in signing Isaac Mintah, a forward who has also been targeted by rivals Asante Kotoko, ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The 25-year-old is currently a free agent after completing his spell with Libyan club Al-Ahli. Mintah joined Al-Ahli in February 2024 following an impressive performance for Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League.

After a brief stint in Libya, the former New Edubiase United player has returned to Ghana and is now seeking a move during the second transfer window.

Mintah has been training with Asante Kotoko since October, where the club’s technical team is closely assessing his abilities. However, according to Kumasi-based Kessben FM, Hearts of Oak, Kotoko’s fierce rivals, have also shown interest in securing the forward’s services as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

The two clubs are set to compete for Mintah’s signature in the upcoming window. During his time in the Ghanaian top-flight, Mintah scored 17 goals and provided 4 assists in 40 appearances before making his move abroad.
