After spending two weeks in his native Serbia, Hearts of Oak head coach Slavko Matic has now made a return to Ghana.
After a promising start to his career with the Phobians, when he won 5 out of the 8 games he oversaw, the 46-year-old left on January 4th, 2023.
Hearts of Oak’s final two contests were managed by assistant coach David Ocloo, who first held King Faisal to a 1-1 draw before leading Tamale City to a 3-2 victory.
Matic is anticipated to lead the Phobians in their title defence given that they have reduced the gap on leaders Aduana Stars to 4 points after taking time off to visit family.
On Sunday, Hearts of Oak will visit FC Samartex in what is anticipated to be Matic’s first match after returning to the country.
