Hearts of Oak have rekindled their interest in former Legon Cities midfielder Michel Otou and are now in advanced talks to bring the 26-year-old defensive midfielder to the club.

The Phobians are looking to strengthen their squad during the current transfer window, and Otou is reportedly on their radar.

According to sources, Hearts of Oak have already opened talks with Otou’s representatives, and negotiations are said to be progressing well.

The former Inter Allies captain is currently a free agent after ending his stint with Ethiopian side Hawassa City FC, and it appears that the Phobians are keen on securing his services.

Otou was a transfer target for Hearts of Oak prior to the start of last season, but ultimately signed with Hawassa City instead. However, it seems that the Ghanaian club has reignited their interest in the midfielder, who could provide much-needed depth and experience to their midfield department.

With talks reaching an advanced stage, a potential deal could be announced in the coming days.
