Hearts of Oak midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim, expressed his disappointment with their 1-1 draw against Bofoakwa Tano during their Ghana Premier League week 20 match on Monday.
Scoring a goal in the first half, Salifu Ibrahim gave the Phobians an early lead, but they later conceded what appeared to be an own goal just nine minutes into the second half, resulting in a draw.
Reflecting on the outcome in an interview with StarTimes, Salifu Ibrahim shared his thoughts, saying, “It’s disappointing to settle for a draw. We really aimed for a win to climb higher in the standings. It’s disheartening that we ended up with a draw.”
Under the guidance of new head coach Aboubakar Ouattara, Hearts of Oak’s two-game winning streak came to a halt, leaving them in 8th place after the match.
As for Bofoakwa Tano, the draw didn’t improve their position in the league standings, as they remain second from bottom, further complicating their battle against relegation.
