Hearts of Oak midfielder Glid Otanga has declared his team’s readiness to face Real Tamale United in the Ghana Premier League opener.
The Ghanaian domestic top-flight is set to kick off this weekend, with Hearts of Oak scheduled to play against Real Tamale United in an away match at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
After concluding their preseason preparations with a convincing 2-0 victory over the newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Nations FC on Sunday at the Kpobiman Complex, the Congolese midfielder expressed his team’s preparedness to take on RTU in the GPL’s opening match on Friday.
Otanga started the game but was later substituted in the second half, just before Nurudeen Aziz scored the opening goal for the Phobians.
“We are ready for the season. We’ve prepared for over a month and I think we are ready to challenge Real Tamale United in the season opener” he said.
Hearts of Oak is eager to secure another Ghana Premier League title in the upcoming season, following a dry spell in the previous campaign.
