Hearts of Oak midfielder Rocky Dwamena has successfully undergone surgery following an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, the club has confirmed.

The procedure took place on Friday night at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra and was reported to have gone smoothly, marking an important step in the midfielder’s recovery journey.

Dwamena sustained the injury during Hearts of Oak’s 2-2 draw with Bibiani GoldStars SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on 26th October 2025, in a Ghana Premier League matchday seven fixture.

According to the club’s medical team, Dwamena is expected to miss approximately eight to nine months, during which he will undergo a carefully monitored rehabilitation program to regain full fitness.

The 23-year-old, who joined Hearts of Oak from Dreams FC in August 2025, had made four league appearances for the Phobians before the unfortunate setback. He previously featured for Asante Kotoko, bringing valuable experience to the Hearts squad.

Hearts of Oak will continue to closely monitor Dwamena’s progress, with the hope of welcoming him back to competitive action later in the year.
