Hearts of Oak midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim, has assured fans of the club that the team will put in extra effort to bring smiles back to their faces following their recent loss to FC Samartex.
The Phobians endured a 2-1 defeat against the Ghana Premier League leaders at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex on Sunday, marking their first loss in six games under new head coach Aboubakar Ouattara, who had previously secured three wins and two draws.
Addressing the disappointing outcome against Samartex, Salifu Ibrahim conveyed a resolute message to the club’s supporters, expressing optimism for a turnaround.
“We will work extra to make our supporters smile. The result did not go as planned against Samartex, but once again, we felt the love from our fans. We will strive hard to reciprocate that love,” he stated, as quoted by the club.
Hearts of Oak are set to face Bibiani GoldStars at home in match week 24 of the Ghana Premier League, aiming to climb from their current eighth position and regain momentum.
