The Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo, has admonished Accra Hearts to replicate the move by Kumasi Asante Kotoko in constructing a new stadium.
Speaking in an interview with Angel TV on Tuesday, March 1, the experienced football administrator said the time has come for supporters of Hearts of Oak to also show commitment by supporting the team financially to construct a stadium.
When quizzed as to whether Hearts of Oak can get 100,000 supporters to support such an initiative, Fianoo responded in the affirmative saying that the Phobians will get more than the number stated.
He was confident that teams like Hearts and Kotoko will have millions of supporters to support the construction of a new stadium.
“I think Nana Yaw Amponsah was being modest when he said 100,000 supporters, both Hearts and Kotoko will get millions of supporters to help them build their own stadiums,” He mentioned.
He concluded by commending Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah for his initiative and urged every club in the league to follow suit.
“When you go to North Africa, many teams have their stadiums and I think Hearts, Kotoko and other team should do the same” he said.
