Accra Hearts of Oak have officially appointed Nana Yaw Amankwah as their new assistant coach, just ahead of an important preseason match.
The club shared their excitement on social media: “We are thrilled to introduce Nana Yaw Amankwah as our new assistant coach. Looking forward to his expertise and the positive energy he brings to our team.”
Amankwah will collaborate with head coach Aboubakar Ouattara as the Phobians gear up for the 2024 Homowo Cup, where they will face Heart of Lions. The match is set for Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium, serving as a crucial test for Hearts of Oak as they seek to claim the ceremonial trophy in preparation for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
Having narrowly lost 2-1 to their arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup, Hearts of Oak is eager to secure a win and gain momentum for the new season.
Their 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign will commence against Heart of Lions on September 13th at the Kpando Stadium.
