Hearts of Oak legend, Mohammed Polo has stated that the club will have to invite him and some of the od players to their camp to motivate the players to avoid relegation from the Ghana Premier League.
Despite undergoing three coaching changes this season, The Phobians are facing one of their toughest seasons in recent times, finding themselves struggling near the relegation zone.
With just three wins in their last 13 matches across all competitions, Aboubakar Ouattara’s side is precariously perched in 15th place on the league table, a mere two points above relegation.
“Hearts of Oak are their own problems, they must survive, and if they fail, these players will never be forgiven,” Polo told Akoma FM.
“The only way to help Hearts of Oak avoid relegation is to motivate the players. And this can only be accomplished by inviting myself and other former club players”
“If the current leaders had vision, they would have invited us to the camp and thoroughly explained the club’s culture and the dangers that would result if the club get relegated to the players, but they will not do so because their actions demonstrate that they do not need us.”
Hearts of Oak are taking on Nations FC at the Accra sports stadium this afternoon in a matchweek 32 fixture.
