Even not at their excepted high level of last season, Hearts of Oak are still undefeated against their biggest rivals Asante Kotoko in two games this season.
The Phobians beat the Porcupine Warriors – who are celebrating the acquisition of a brand new bus – on Friday night to clinch the 2022 Ghana President’s Cup.
Kotoko lead the Ghana Premier League standings with a 10-point advantage after Week 18 but Hearts of Oak took all the bragging rights on Friday.
Patrick Razak – out of favor in Samuel Boadu’s first team this season – came off the bench to score a fantastic 90th minute winner.
Obeng Kojo Jnr released Razak from the center circle with a perfect long ball. With two Kotoko players chasing his down, the pacy winger raced at top speed to round goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad in the area before slotting home the winning goal to win it 2-1 for the Phobians.
Hearts of Oak are unbeaten against Kotoko from the start of last season across all events – winning two and drawing other two games.
