Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC midfielder enforcer Abdul-Aziz has undergone a successful thigh surgery in South Africa today, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
He has been out with injury and did not finish the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season when his team won the 2022 MTN FA CUP trophy.
He has successfully completed his surgery and is expected to become in South Africa for a while before returning to Ghana for healing before taking to the field again.
The hard working and combative Hearts midfielder is beaming with smiles as doctors worked on his today in South Africa to begin his recovery process.
The player underwent a thigh surgery at the Netcare Linksfield clinic in South Africa on Thursday, October 6, 2022 after the pre -surgery formalities on the player were conducted on 27th September 2022.
The medical team that conducted the surgery were led by experienced surgeon, Dr. McCready. The doctor who operated on both Lawali and Daniel Kodie.
He had this to say before his surgery:
“I am not happy to be sitting out of the games. That is what I am paid for. My desire is to always get onto the pitch and get the work done. But I also admit that injuries are a part of the game. This is certainly good news for my career. Hopefully it will all go well and I will go through the process and get back stronger for my team and country. I need the prayers of all Phobians.
“To the leaders of the team, most especially the Board Chairman, I say a big thank you for making sure that this has happened. I am most grateful to all. I pray God gives me the strength to be back stronger than I was so I can contribute positively to this team” the player said.
“To my team mates, I want to assure them that I truly acknowledge their support and assure them that hopefully I will join them soon. To the teaming fans, I will say “I will be back to support my team to win more laurels”.
