Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC have stolen Accra Great Olympics FC striker, Maxwell Abbey Quaye.

The Rainbow Boys showed swiftly to sign the deadly attacker ahead of the 2022-23 season in Ghana and in the CAF Confederation Cup competition.

He has signed a two-year deal with the Hearts after leaving city rivals Great Olympics following the expiration of his contract. He sealed his move on the transfer deadline day on Monday.

Abbey Quaye has over 20 goals in 60 appearances across the last three seasons in the Ghana Premier League.

He’s been one of the best players on the domestic scene netting some important goals for the DADE Boys in the past two seasons.

He eventually ended a Ghana call-up and played in Black Stars thumping defeat to Algeria in international friendly ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

He was part of the final squad but never got a chance to play for Ghana at the tournament.

He netted 10 goals in each of the last two seasons.

Abbey Quaye is a member of the Local national team the Black Galaxies.
