Togbe Afede, the board chairman of Hearts of Oak, expressed confidence in the club’s infrastructure superiority following a recent demonstration by a group of fans calling for the board’s dissolution.
In response to the protest, Togbe questioned the motives behind the demonstration, asserting that Hearts of Oak boasts top-notch facilities unmatched by other clubs in the country.
He emphasized, “What do they want that we haven’t done? We’ve done everything. After all this, the only thing that Hearts don’t have is a stadium.”
Togbe continued, highlighting the club’s significant advancements in facilities, stating, “We are streets ahead of all our counterparts. I would even say that we will come out as one of the very best in the whole of the subregion.”
However, despite Togbe’s off-field efforts during his tenure, the club’s on-field performance has not reflected the same level of success.
With just one league title and two FA Cups under their belt, Hearts of Oak’s achievements have fallen short of expectations.
