Hearts of Oak striker Hamzah Issah has expressed confidence in his team’s chances of defeating rivals Asante Kotoko when the two giants face off at the Baba Yara Stadium on Matchday 13 of the Ghana Premier League.
The highly anticipated Super Clash comes at a critical juncture for Hearts of Oak, who are looking to end a run of three consecutive defeats. In contrast, the Porcupine Warriors are aiming to extend their winning streak and climb the league table.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Hamzah Issah assured fans that the Phobians are ready for the challenge. “We’ve prepared for the game, and I’m sure Hearts of Oak will win on Sunday. I can’t predict whether I will score or not, but we are determined,” he said.
Issah, currently with the Black Galaxies as they prepare for the CHAN qualifier against Nigeria, is expected to rejoin the Hearts camp before the weekend clash.
Both teams are separated by just one point on the league table after 12 matches. Hearts of Oak sit in 6th place with 19 points, while Asante Kotoko are close behind in 7th with 18 points. With so little separating the two sides, this match could play a decisive role in shaping their respective seasons.
