Accra Hearts of Oak are preparing for a thrilling international challenge as the Ghanaian giants get set to face English side Sunderland in a friendly match at the iconic Stadium of Light in England.

The fixture is part of the Democracy Cup activities, which aim to combine sport and diplomacy, strengthening relations between Ghana and the United Kingdom. The event is expected to showcase Ghanaian football talent on an international stage while fostering goodwill and cultural exchange.

Ahead of the much-anticipated clash, a Ghanaian parliamentary delegation, led by Speaker Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, visited the Stadium of Light to observe preparations and engage with organizers. Among the delegation was Akuapem South Member of Parliament, Honourable Lawrencia Dziwornu, who joined in supporting the initiative and encouraging the players.

The friendly promises to be an exciting test for Hearts of Oak as they look to measure themselves against competitive international opposition while promoting Ghanaian football abroad.
