Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC are set to unleash Ghana legend Sulley Muntari in this afternoon’s Ga-Mantse derby against Great Olympics FC.
The 37-year-old has been included in the 20-man squad for the crunch encounter this afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium as two old foes come face-to-face.
He signed a one-year deal as a free agent this month with the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League winners who also won the MTN FA Cup Competition last season.
The UEFA Champions League Winner is the first player to win the prestigious European competition to play for a club in Africa.
Though old and certainly passed his prime, Sulley is expected to bring his experience to bare to help stabilise the Phobians team that has been struggling in the league this campaign.
The former Inter Milan and AC Milan midfielder could make his Hearts of Oak bow this afternoon against city rivals Great Olympics in the week 16 clash of the 2021-22 season.
