The highly anticipated inaugural Democracy Cup match between Ghanaian football giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko has been rescheduled to a new date.
Initially set to take place on July 5, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium, the game will now kick off on July 17, 2024 due to the teams’ inability to prepare adequately.
The Democracy Cup, themed “30 Years of Parliamentary Democracy Under the 4th Republic: The Journey Thus Far,” is an initiative by the Parliament of Ghana to utilize football as a means of engaging citizens and promoting wider participation in the legislative process.
The winning team will earn the opportunity to face American side DC United in Washington, making this encounter even more exciting. Stay tuned for further updates!
