Albert Diego Dieudonne Eonde, the Cameroonian striker who joined Hearts of Oak in February, has commented on the club’s struggles in the current campaign. Despite their recent difficulties, Albert believes that the team can have a bright future if given enough time.

Hearts of Oak have faced challenges since winning the BetPawa Premier League in 2021. The team has experienced early exits from both the CAF Confederations Cup and the MTN FA Cup, and currently sit in eighth place in the Premier League, trailing the top four by two points.

As Albert joined Hearts in the middle of the season, he acknowledges that the team has not been performing well in recent matches. However, he remains optimistic about the team’s potential.

He believes that with time, Hearts can become a strong team capable of competing in the league, winning titles, and achieving success in Africa.

Albert highlights that many of the players, including himself, are relatively new to the team and the Ghanaian league. They come from different backgrounds and are still adjusting to playing together. However, he believes that with time and continued collaboration, the team can develop into a formidable unit.

“I didn’t start the campaign with Hearts because I came in the middle of the season. So far so good, what I’ve seen is true that we haven’t been performing in our recent games but I believe with time it will be a very good team that can compete in the league, winning the league and be successful in Africa because most of us are almost new to the team, to the league and coming from different teams. I believe with time it can be a good team if these same players come together,” he said in an interview with Ghanasportspage.com.

Since joining Hearts of Oak, Albert has yet to score a goal in the Premier League. However, prior to his move to the Ghanaian giants, he netted 12 goals for Dynamos FC in the Zimbabwean league.

In conclusion, Albert remains hopeful about Hearts of Oak’s prospects and emphasizes the importance of patience and time for the team’s development and success.
