Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Martin Koopman has revealed his plans to introduce the popular “total football” system to Ghana.
According to the Dutchman, he wants the Phobians to play proper attacking football in the Ghana Premier League hence the need to gradually introduce them to the total football system.
Koopman made this comment after winning his first game in two matches in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
Martin Koopman said: “We want to play like Holland, attacking football and that must be possible and if you have to see the whole team this week, they are a little bit down.”
“Because if you play your pre-season like that we did and you expect the next three points, it’s not going to happen.”
“So I must put them on their legs again and give them the good feeling and I see that they stand up and they gave the first three points.” Martin Koopman told StarTimes.
Hearts of Oak won their first game of the season after beating 10-man Nsoatreman 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 24, 2023.
