Hearts of Oak midfielder, Mohammed Hussein, has been named Man of the Match following his standout performance in the Week 5 Ghana Premier League encounter against Aduana Stars.
Hussein was a key figure for the Phobians, controlling the midfield and making impactful contributions on both sides of the pitch during the intense match at the Legon Sports Stadium. His commanding play helped Hearts of Oak secure a valuable point in the goalless draw against Aduana Stars.
The hardworking midfielder’s efforts did not go unnoticed, with Hearts of Oak acknowledging his outstanding display on their social media platforms.
The match itself was a fiercely contested affair, with both teams pushing hard for the win. Referee Abdul Latif had his hands full as tempers flared throughout the game. The turning point came in the 58th minute when Aduana Stars defender Rich Sackey was sent off after receiving his second yellow card, leaving his side to play the remainder of the game with ten men.
Despite their numerical advantage, Hearts of Oak struggled to capitalize, though they managed to create several dangerous chances. Aduana Stars also threatened on occasion, but Hearts goalkeeper Benjamin Asare was in top form, making crucial saves to maintain the clean sheet.
Looking ahead, Hearts of Oak will travel to face Young Apostles in their next fixture, while Aduana Stars will be hoping to turn their fortunes around when they host Dreams FC in their upcoming match.
