Ghanaian international Thomas Partey commended German forward Kai Havertz for his standout performance in Arsenal’s commanding victory over Chelsea in the English Premier League.
Havertz’s brace played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s resounding 5-0 win over Chelsea, elevating them to a three-point lead at the top of the table.
Partey, who made his first start since returning from injury, praised Havertz for his hard work and impactful contributions during the London derby, expressing confidence in his ability to maintain his form throughout the season.
“He’s a great player, he’s working a lot and you can see the work he’s doing. He deserves everything that comes along. I hope he can continue like that and finish the season strongly,” remarked Partey.
Additionally, Partey lauded the entire team for their determined performance against Chelsea, emphasizing the importance of their approach from the onset.
“It was a very good game, we went all out from the beginning because we knew how important this game was. If we don’t approach it right we are not able to win, but we did everything right and I’m really proud of the squad,” he added.
Despite facing injury setbacks, Partey has made ten Premier League appearances this season and is slated to start for Arsenal in the upcoming North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
