West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberán, has hailed Ghanaian attacker Brandon Thomas-Asante following his simply stunning acrobatic goal against Stoke City on Saturday in the EFL Championship.
The 23-year old was on target again as WBA recorded their third straight vin against Stoke City at home.
Speaking after the game, Carlos Corberán said: “We played for 90 minutes with a high level of determination, concentration and energy. We tried to not waste a single moment of the game and I’m really pleased we have performed well and won three more points.
“It’s important to manage the different situations in attack and defence. We know we have players with really good deliveries on them and players who can attack set-pieces really well.
“It was another good ball from John Swift and another great header from Kyle Bartley. “Brandon is a player that when good things happen to him, you are going to be happy for him.
“He has worked very hard to be here, moving from League Two. He’s hard-working, has a great mentality and he’s showing that he can help the team a lot on the pitch. “Players have to compete to win football games. I saw all of my players competing today and that’s the most pleasing thing.”
Asante has featured 12 times for WBA this campaign, hitting the back of the net in the process.
