In a dominating performance, Ghana’s women’s national team, the Black Queens, defeated Rwanda 7-0 in Kigali. This match was part of the qualifiers for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana took an early lead with a header by Doris Boaduwaa from a corner in the 2nd minute, and Evelyn Badu added the second goal in the 9th minute.
Princella Adubea scored Ghana’s third goal with a header in the 28th minute, and Alice Kusi made it 4-0 in the 52nd minute.
Despite some attempts by Rwanda after the break, Ghana’s defense held strong. Evelyn Badu scored her second goal in the 64th minute, and Anasthesia Achiaa added two more goals in the 75th and 86th minutes.
Jennifer Cudjoe missed a penalty opportunity for Ghana. Mary Amponsah had a goal canceled for offside.
The Black Queens displayed a dominant performance, securing a convincing victory.
