During the 6th Annual General Meeting of Hearts of Oak in Accra, board chairman Togbe Afede XIV publicly praised the unwavering dedication and commitment of management member Vincent Sowah Odotei to the club’s progress.
Togbe Afede highlighted Odotei’s pivotal role in negotiating contracts for the Pobiman project, expressing admiration for his efforts in securing deals with Turkish partners and builders for the construction of the perimeter wall around the 20-acre land.
Acknowledging Odotei’s voluntary service to Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede emphasized his surprise at the level of commitment displayed by someone not on the club’s payroll. He commended Odotei for his leadership in negotiating crucial contracts for the development of the Pobiman facility.
“His commitment to Hearts of Oak is extremely surprising for someone who is not enumerated but who has been the leader in all the contracts that we negotiated for Pobiman be it with the Turkish people be it with the builders of the wall,” he said
Reflecting on the magnitude of the project, Togbe Afede encouraged those who have not visited Pobiman to witness the progress firsthand, particularly noting the extensive walling of the 20-acre land to enhance security and prevent intrusions.
“I have advised those who have never been to Pobiman to try to go you know how it is to wall a 1 plot land we have walled a 20 acre land. Because we want to secure it to protect against intruders,” he added.
As Hearts of Oak continues its development initiatives, including the ongoing Pobiman project, Togbe Afede’s commendation of Vincent Sowah Odotei underscores the importance of dedicated individuals in driving the club’s growth and success.
