Maxwell Konadu experienced his first defeat in the Ghana Premier League against Hearts of Oak since 2010 when Nsoatreman FC lost on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Konadu, who managed Nsoatreman, saw his team suffer a 1-0 loss to the Phobians on matchday two of the Ghanaian championship.
The only goal of the match was scored by Congolese forward Ramos Kashala Wanet, handing Konadu his first league defeat against Hearts.
Before Sunday’s encounter, the former Black Stars assistant had only tasted defeat once, back in 2010 when his Wa All Stars team lost 3-0 to Hearts.
Konadu didn’t face a defeat against Hearts during his tenure at Asante Kotoko, both from July 2011 to June 2012 and from December 2019 to December 2020.
He also maintained an unbeaten record against Hearts while managing Legon Cities FC from September 2021 to June 2023, with three encounters in the Ghana Premier League.
