English League One club Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of midfielder Marcus McGuane on a three-year contract.
The 26-year-old, who holds both English and Ghanaian nationality, joins the Terriers from Championship side Bristol City for an undisclosed fee. His arrival is part of Huddersfield’s efforts to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new season.
McGuane brings with him valuable experience from English and European football, having previously played for Arsenal, Barcelona B, Oxford United, and most recently Bristol City. Known for his composure, passing range, and work rate, he is expected to add strength and creativity to Town’s midfield.
The club confirmed the signing on Thursday and expressed excitement about the qualities McGuane brings to the squad. Fans will be eager to see how the former England youth international settles into his new role as Huddersfield push for promotion back to the Championship.
McGuane’s Ghanaian heritage also makes him one to watch for Black Stars fans, as his progress at Huddersfield could open doors for future international involvement.
