Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has picked up a fresh injury ahead of Ghana’s crucial World Cup Qualifier against Nigeria next week.
The inform attacker lasted just six minutes in Bristol City FC game against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon at home.
He was expected to join the Black Stars in his maiden call-up for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
He was stretched off the field after just six mintues into the game and had to be replaced by Nahki Wells who went on to score the opener.
The extent of his injury is unknown for now as his team also threw away their lead to draw 2-2 at home.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward has played 24 matches this season in the English Championship and has scored 6 goals and provided 8 assists.
He could be out of Ghana’s game on March 25 and the return leg in Nigeria on March 29 with his latest injury.
