Cameroon is trying to convince the former PSG youngster, Hugo Ekitike, to switch nationality.
Hugo Ekitike, 21, was born to a Cameroonian mother and a French father in Reims, France.
Marc Brys, the newly appointed head coach of the Cameroonian national team, has revealed he has had a conversation with the youngster who is currently playing for Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga and Ekitike is willing to play for France, his motherland.
The youngster has played for the French U-20 side on six occasions but he is yet to play for the senior national team and hence has the time to switch nationality.
PSG paid 35m euros in 2020 for his siganture from Reims. He is twice a winner of the French Ligue 1 with PSG. Hugo Ekitike is considered one of the most talented young attackers in French football.
