Ghana defender Patrick Kpozo says he sides with the comments that the Black Stars played out one of their poorest games against Madagascar on Sunday, June 18.
Ghanaians were left disappointed once again after the Black Stars wrapped up early qualification to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Ivory Coast.
Many were left frustrated with others describing the performance as one of the poorest they have seen the team put out there in a competitive game.
Asked by some of the comments by Ghanaians, Kpozo, who made his debut in the game, said he feels the assessment of the team’s performance was right.
“I agree with some of the comments [the Ghanaians have made about the game],” he told CitiSports.
“I think we did our best, we tried to win but the pitch didn’t allow us to play our game and score. It was difficult.”
With just a point lead at the top of Group E, the Black Stars need a draw in their last qualifier against Central African Republic in September to book a slot at the AFCON.
