Midfielder Yaw Yeboah from Columbus Crew has expressed his eagerness to represent the Black Stars at the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The 26-year-old finds himself in coach Chris Hughton’s 55-man provisional list for the tournament scheduled for next month.
With the final squad announcement slated for January 3, Yeboah is determined to make an impact at the Nations Cup following a successful season in the Major League Soccer.
“For me, I am always ready. Whenever I have the chance to represent the country, I will make sure I am always ready,” he said, as quoted by Joy Sports.
“The world has seen it. Ghanaians have seen it so right now I will get myself ready for whatever happens.
“I can’t stop. Nothing stops me. I just have to keep playing well, training well and whatever happens in future happens.”
Having recently returned to Ghana after securing the MLS title with Columbus Crew, Yeboah looks forward to showcasing his skills on the continental stage.
His commitment and consistent performance throughout the season have earned him a spot in the provisional squad, and he remains focused on maintaining that form as he prepares for the upcoming tournament.
